WILL Marlou Aquino and the Sta. Lucia Realtors proved that their first five wins were not a fluke?
The answer in that question will be known tonight, when the Sta, Lucia Realtors plunge to action against the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters in the 2009 PBA Motolite Fiesta Conference at the Araneta Coliseum.
Game time is set at 5:00pm before Burger King-Purefoods game at 7:30pm.
The Realtors, who won the 2008 Philippine Cup, stand at 5-2 win-loss log and a victory would keep them at No. 2 behind unbeaten San Miguel Beer (7-0).
Talk ‘N Text and Purefoods are tied for the No. 6 and 7 with identical 3-3 log.
Boyet Fernandez, the Realtors coach, believes defense will play a vital role against the Tyrus Wade-reinforced Talk ‘N Text team.
Import Anthony Johnson, who averaged 32.7 points per game and 14.9 rebounds in seven outings, is expected to lead the Realtors who will also supported by local players Kelly Williams, Marlou Aquino, Joseph Yeo, Nelbert Omolon, Norman Gonzales, Ryan Reyes and Dennis Miranda and Dennis Espino.
Aquino averages 12.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and he is No. 1 in shot blocks with 3.6 average per game.
Williams has 13.4 points and 9.0 rebounds per game average.
